Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

i) Method Subjects: Beng., Eng., Sans., Geo., Hist., Pol Sc, Phil., Edn., LSc, Phy Sc, Math, Music.
ii) Availability of method subjects in the Self-financed Colleges may be changed at any stage during the process of admission to the Programme.
iii) Bio-chemistry & Electronics shall be treated as subjects in the Physical Science Group and in this case candidates shall have to take Physical Science as the method. Bio-technology, Nutrition, Microbiology & Env.Sc. shall be treated as subjects in the Life Science Group and in this case candidates shall have to take Life Science as the 1st method.
iv) Candidates, having Hons./P.G. in Stat./ Comp. Application / Comp. Sc./Engineering or Technology, shall be eligible to apply and in this case they shall have to take Mathematics as the method. List of those applicants shall be prepared with the applicants of the subject, Mathematics.
v) Candidates, having Hons./P.G. in Sociology, shall be eligible to apply and in this case they shall have to choose method subjects from their elective subjects. List of those applicants shall be prepared with the applicants of the subject, Political Science.
vi) The fresh candidates, having Hons./ P.G. in Santali / Arabic/ Urdu, shall be eligible to apply and shall get admission to the course subject to a maximum number of seats stipulated for them in each case. They shall have to choose method subjects from their elective subjects & accordingly their names will be enlisted as per the method to be mentioned by them in the application form.


Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)

i) In case of D.El.Ed course there are no such method subject as like B.Ed, candidate should pass the H.S. (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council/University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. In SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/Ex-Serviceman categories- 45% marks in aggregate. The calculation of percentage shall be made on the basis of the best five scores Excluding EVS score.
ii) For Vocational - course pass applicants:
* 4% (i.e. 2 out of 50) of the seats shall be earmarked for applicants coming from the Vocational stream course (+2 Level) under any Board/University/Council or its equivalent, regardless of categories.
* Such Vocational-course pass applicants must have studied at least two languages including English at the +2 stage.
* Such vocational course pass applicants should score at least se 50% marks at the +2 stage.
* Such vocational course pass applicant, however, shall not be eligible for other seats under any conditions of Backwardness or Physical disability.
