Admission

(Norms as per the self-finance college of Burdwan University, Academic year- 2019-21)

i. Admission to B.Ed. Programme in Self-financed B.Ed. Colleges under B.U., will be done phase wise through online mode only and under any circumstances, no student will be admitted directly by the Self-financed B.Ed. College Authorities, without recommendation of the University and the University Authority shall not be responsible for Registration and Enrolment of any student if admitted directly by the College Authority, except on Management QuotaSeats.

ii. Online application for admission to B.Ed. Programme in Self-financed B.Ed. Colleges under B.U. will be available on and from 22.05.2019 to 05.06.2019 (upto 11.59 pm) on the University website(www.buruniv.ac.in)

iii. Mode of payment of application fees (Rs. 300/- + transaction charge) will be through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and Allahabad Bank e-challan. Allahabad Bank E-challan can be generated after submission of on-line form. Candidates are advised to take the print out of the e- challan on the basis of which payment can be made at any branch of AllahabadBank. Last date of payment of application fee through e-challan is 07.06.2019.

iii. On the basis of on-line submission of application, the University shall prepare a provisional merit list without verification of the accuracy and authenticity of the data submitted by the applicants. Applicants shall remain responsible for the inaccuracy / insufficiency and lack of authenticity of the data entered and the candidature may be cancelled at any stage of admission and even during the continuation of the programme. The rank of the provisional merit list may be changed due to inaccuracy / insufficiency and lack of authenticity of the data entered. Admission will be offered after verification of the accuracy / sufficiency and authenticity of the dataentered. Candidates, engaged in any other Course of Studies/Job/Full-time Research Work, shall not be allowed to pursue this course simultaneously.

iv. For Deputed candidates only :As per Govt. order no. 6 4 6 - Edn(CS)/10M-20/2015, dated 10.04.2019, in self-financing B.Ed. colleges, 20% seats are to be reserved for untrained in service/ deputed teachers of classes V-XII. If the seats, reserved for deputed teachers, remain vacant, they may be de-reserved and offered to the fresh candidates but not to the Management Quota. In such a situation, Method Subject wise Intake of fresh candidates may be increased in any college at any stage.

v. Eligibility: Candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanity/Commerce, or Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks, or any other qualification equivalent thereto, be eligible for application. There shall be relaxation of 5% marks in favour of SC, ST and DA (Differently Abled) categories.
N. B.: 50% or 45% marks (as the case may be) in Bachelor's degree with Hons. may be determined either on the basis of Hons. marks only or on the basis of Hons. marks and marks of the elective subjects taken together (excluding ENVS &Languages)

vi. Age Limit: Age of the Fresh Candidates as on 30th June, 2019 shall not exceed 38 years and there shall be relaxation of 5 years in favour of DA categorycandidates.

vii. Reservation of seats for SC & ST candidates (both Fresh & Deputed) is not applicable to Self- financed B.Ed.Colleges.

As per Govt. order no.1084(20)-Edn(U)/EH/1U-89/13, dated, 07.12.2018, the percentage of reservation for the persons with disabilities shall be extended not less than 5% in each College

viii. As per Govt. Order no. 6 4 6 - Edn(CS)/10M-20/2015, dated 10.04.2019, ratio for home University students and other University students shall be80:20.

ix. Whether a fresh applicant shall fill up online application form of either Burdwan University category or Other University category that will be determined on the basis of the Mark Sheet of the last Examination passed or the last Certificate ( in case of M.Phil. or Ph.D.holders).

x. Applicant should upload scanned photograph and signature files. The files must be of type png or jpeg and the size of photograph and signature must be within 3MB.

xi. At the time of submission of application form each applicant would give maximum 15(fifteen) Colleges as their choice in the application form , subject to availability of seat and method subject. In this case, candidates are advised to prepare a list of 15 colleges as per their preference subject to availability of method subject and seat before going to fill up online application form otherwise they may face the problem of time out during theprocess.

xii. Candidates are advised to see the Method Subject wise Intake, available in the Seat matrix appended below, before going to fill up online applicationform.

xiii. As per Govt. order no. 6 4 6 - Edn(CS)/10M-20/2015, dated 10.04.2019, payment of admission fees should be done only through designated bank (Allahabadbank).

xiv. Course Fees : Total fee for pursuing this Course in the Self-financed Colleges is Rs. 50,000/- (including Uni. Exam. Fee Rs. 1000 for 1st& 2ndsemesters) per annum both for Deputed & Fresh Candidates of which Rs.20000/-will be paid at the timeofadmission and the rest ( i.e. Rs. 3 0 000/-) will be paid in six (6) equal monthly installments starting from the month of September every year. Note that total course fee for 2- years is Rs. 1,00,000/- per student. In addition to the above fees, students will pay only Enrollment fee, Centre fee etc.separately.

xv. The authority of each Self-financed College will spend Rs. 75,000/- only per unit (i.e. for 50 students) in every academic year for the benefit of the students in the form of relaxation of tuition fees. This benefit will be given to the poor and meritorious fresh candidates but not to the Candidates to be admitted on ManagementQuota.

xvi. Rules of The University of Burdwan, The Govt. of West Bengal & The NCTE shall befollowed.

(Norms as per the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, Academic year- 2016-18)

i) Should an Indian Citizen

ii) Should pass the H.S. (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/Council/University with at least 50% marks in the aggregate. In SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/Ex-Serviceman categories- 45% marks in aggregate. The calculation of percentage shall be made on the basis of the best five scores Excluding EVS score.

iii) Age: Age should not be above 35 Years, 40 Years of age for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH as on 01.07.2016
Note 1: The upper age limit is not applicable for the in service teachers, appointed before 03.09.2001
Note 2: Ex-Serviceman candidates shall get the benefit of age relaxation as per rules.

iv)Must have studied Language at the Higher Secondary level as a compulsory subject for which medium of instruction he/she will be applying for admission

v) For Vocational –course pass applicants:
(a) 4% (i.e. 2 out of 50) of the seats shall be earmarked for applicants coming from the Vocational stream course (+2 Level) under any Board/University/Council or its equivalent, regardless of categories.
(b) Such Vocational-course pass applicants must have studied at least two languages including English at the +2 stage.
(c) Such vocational course pass applicants should score at least se 50% marks at the +2 stage.
(d) Such vocational course pass applicant, however, shall not be eligible for other seats under any conditions of Backwardness or Physical disability.

vi) Reservation: of seats shall be made as per this State Govt. norms

vii) The course fees and admission fees set by the WBBPE/ Govt of West Bengal, shall have strictly followed, otherwise stem action will be taken up by the appropriate authority.

viii) Ten(10) percent seats in D.I.E.Ts Govt./Govt. Aided Primary Teachers’ Training Institutes will be kept reserved for in-service primary teachers, appointed before 03.09.2001 having 50% or 45% (as the case may be) at the H.S. (+2) Examination, if duly deputed by the competent authority.
In case non-availability of such candidates the seats shall be fill up from among the merit listed candidates in order of merit as per reservation rules.

ix) Ten (10) percent of the total intake of a self financed Non-Govt. Institution shall be reserved under "Management Quota"
